At the news conference for the 2012 Annual Report & International Citation Report on Impact Factors of Chinese Academic Journals held on December 26, 2012, the Journal of Electronics (China) run by IECAS was listed among “2012’ The Excellent International Impact Academic Journal of China ”.

According to the data indicated in the 2012 Annual Report & International Citation Report on Impact Factors of Chinese Academic Journals, the latest international impact factor and citation frequency of the Journal of Electronics (China) is 0.204 and 148 times respectively. Making the list represents the recognition of the international impact of the journal. The editorial department will treasure the honor, further improve the journals academic quality based on the honor, and endeavor to build the journal into a branded one in China’s electronics and informatics field.

The selection of “Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journals” is intended to objectively, comprehensively and systematically reflect the international impact of Chinese academic journals. Statistics are based on 8,336 SCI journals and 2,996 SSCI/A&H journals. According to the total citation frequency and impact factor of Chinese academic journals accepted by SCI and SSCI in 2011, internationally influential academic journals should be among the top ten percent of all candidate journals upon comprehensive computation. In the selection, there were 5,025 candidate journals, and 418 were honored as most internationally influential and international influential academic journals, including 311 Chinese journals and 107 English journals.

The news conference for the 2012 Annual Report & International Citation Report on Impact Factors of Chinese Academic Journals, which took place at the China National Convention Center, was jointly hosted by the China Scientific Literature Evaluation and Measuring Researching Center, China Academic Journals (CD) Electronic Publishing House of CNK  and Tsinghua University Library. Among nearly 2,000 attendees were leaders of departments including the General Administration of Press and Publication, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation and the China Periodicals Association, as well as representatives of a multitude of journal presses from across the country.
