At the invitation of the Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Radiation and Probing Technology of IECAS (No. 10 Laboratory), on November 29, Dr. Xing Zengping of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NIMTE) visited IECAS, making an impressive presentation to the researchers and postgraduates at No. 10 Laboratory on magneto-electric sensors and intelligent devices, elaborating on his researches on magneto-electric sensors in recent years, discussing advantages and disadvantages of various magneto-electric sensors, and going into the frequency response and noise test of magneto-electric sensors.

Xing graduated as a master from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University in July 2003, studied at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) from 2004 and obtained a doctor’s degree in 2009. In November 2009, Xing joined NIMTE as a co-head in preparation for establishing the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Ningbo Industrial Technology Research Institute. Now, he heads the team of “intelligence devices and systems” at the Institute. He has published over 20 papers (two invited) on periodicals like EDL, APL, JAP and J AM CERAM SOC, won five patents, and authored (co-authored) three monographs. His researches cover the fields including intelligent sensor, intelligent driver, low-noise weak signal detection, ultrasonic motor drive control technology, etc.
