On December 1, Yin Hejun, vice president and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the Institute of Electronics, CAS (IECAS) at Huairou, in the company of Ou Longxin, vice president and member of the Party Leadership Group of CAS Beijing Branch; Che Shutang, former Party secretary of the Institute of Semiconductors, CAS; as well as IECAS’ leaders including Party Secretary and Deputy Director Wang Keqiang and Deputy Director Ding Chibiao and Zhang Guoqing.

The delegation visited Building 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7 about to be topped out, hearing the reports of heads of relevant departments on the basic information of these buildings, including floor area and functional layout, and inquiring into the details of supporting construction.

The park not only creates a broad platform for IECAS’ future development, but also plays a leading and model role in the construction of CAS’ new parks in Huairou, which must be constructed, managed and used properly, said Yin, requiring that IECAS should practically coordinate the management department and the construction department to work closely and all departments should conduct investigations through consultation to perfect acceptance details; and that IECAS should pay closer attention to the work and life of its staff, take into account all aspects of its staff, including transportation, life and entertainment, and conduct overall planning to ensure the steady and orderly advancement of all work.

Subsequently, the delegation visited IECAS’ “Spring Legend” staff apartments and dormitories.
