On June 15, the signing ceremony for the tripartite agreement on strategic cooperation among IECAS, the Administrative Committee of Beijing Yanqi Economic Development Area (YDA) and Beijing Dingxiu Properties Co., Ltd. (BDP) was held at YDA.

Under the agreement, the three parties will carry out in-depth and extensive cooperation in housing support, property services, talent training, and brand and industrialized promotion.

Wu Yirong, director of IECAS; Shi Zongxiang, director of the Administrative Committee of YDA and Meng Qiang, general manager of BDP, on behalf of the three parties, concluded the Agreement on Further Strengthening and Deepening Strategic Cooperation.

IECAS is the first research institution under the Central Academy of Sciences (CAS) that has settled in CAS Huairou Science and Education Industry Park (CASHSEIP) and taken a critical step in all-round strategic cooperation with the park and settled enterprises. At the ceremony, Wang Keqiang, Party secretary of IECAS, introduced the construction progress of the Huairou Park. The main body of IECAS’s Huairou Park is scheduled to be completed at the end of this year. The launch of support facilities construction will boost the all-round construction of CASHSEIP.

According to Wang Haiping, secretary of the CPC Huairou District Committee, the conclusion of the agreement has been a bold attempt in the socialized cooperation between CAS and the local government in exploring park support facilities and public service support since CAS and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government concluded the Agreement on Cooperation in Constructing CAS Beijing Huairou Science and Education Industry Park on June 12, 2009.

According to He Yan, deputy secretary-general of CAS and secretary of the Party Leadership Group of CAS Beijing Branch, as main part of the strategic cooperation between CAS and Beijing, since CASHSEIP’s construction commenced in June 2009, 17 research institutes have settled in, and some projects have achieved staged achieved.

He noted that the cooperation is a major move for the three parties to implement the spirit of CAS-Beijing cooperation, and much of its practice and experience is of great promotional and referential value to other settled research institutes.

He hoped that the Administrative Committee of YDA would continue to pay attention to and support the construction and cooperation of CASHSEIP and create a favorable environment and conditions for it, requiring IECAS to endeavor to construct the new park, earnestly give play to the new park’s role and benefit in such aspects as increasing the level of innovative development and strengthening the capability of achievement transformation and industrialization, create and accumulate experience for the construction and development of CASHSEIP, and play a model role.
