During November 7th to 11th, 2010, General Manager of the Germany ASP Company Waldemar Dechent and Technical Principal Wofgang Müller paid a visit to the Institute of Electronics, CAS.

Incorporated in 2003, ASP Company is staffed with more than 60 technicians, and equipped with consummate power devices and magnetic electronic components production system. Today, it assumes the research and production of electronic and power supply equipments such as space flight, aviation, and ground HV power supply (used in traveling-wave tube amplifier and electronic microscope) and LV DC/DC power supply, and electronic power distribution controller etc. ASP Company supplies products mainly to German Aerospace Center, European Space Agency, South Korea Aviation Industry Bureau, India Space Applications Center, and European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company.

During the visiting period, Germany ASP Company’s delegation made reports on “ASP Company and Product Introduction” and “Power Modulator Technology used for Space Traveling-wave Tube”. Meanwhile, more than 40 technicians and postgraduates from No. 3 Laboratory, No. 4 Laboratory, and No. 6 Laboratory of the Institute of Electronics, CAS heard the report. Both sides had the technical discussion and communication on the traveling-wave tube amplifier, in addition to signing the letter of intention for joint research and production. (By Dong Ge)
