At the invitation of the Key Laboratory of Electromagnetic Radiation and Probing Technology, Professor Li Erping, director and chief scientist of the Singapore National Research Institute of Computer Sciences and Engineering (SNRICSE) visited the laboratory on April 16, 2010, and gave a report entitled Radio-Frequency Applications of Nanotechnology: Nano-Plasmonics towards a New Generation of Extremely-Integrated Circuits for Electronics and Communications. Director Fang Guangyou presided over this report, with the participation of relevant researchers and postgraduates of No.10 Division.
In the two-hour report, Li introduced the trends and frontier technologies of computing electromagnetics, emphasized the applications and progress of plasma optoelectronics in integrated circuits and communications systems. Following the report, Li replied impromptu to the questions of the teachers and students on the spot. Subsequently, Fang briefed the attendees on the level and actuality of the laboratory’s scientific research and invited Li to visit the research laboratory. (Liu Yuan, No. 10 Division)
