Following an earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale in Yushu, Qinghai, IECAS took active part in the quake relief organized by the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping (SBSM). On the night of April 14 when the earthquake took place, Liang Xingdong, Chen Longyong, Wei Lideng, Meng Dadi and Han Songtao of No. 1 Division of IECAS, under organization, headed to Qinghai with the equipment. On April 15, our technicians, with the remote sensing aircraft equipped with interferometric synthetic aperture radar, arrived at the Golmud Airport in Qinghai. The radar was developed by IECAS for SBSM.
